This time last year, I was 2 weeks away from my official due date (1st Aug 2014). And 2 weeks can feel like 2 months when you’re in the last few weeks of pregnancy – ask any Mom! I just took a quick glimpse at my pregnancy diary… and trust me I won’t be sharing it!
I was being kicked all over the show and just wanted the pregnancy part to be over so I could meet my little he/she (we had kept it a secret!) I don’t even remember Mandela Day last year so that probably means I didn’t make much of an effort to do anything.
So this year, I would like to make up for it.
A bit about Mandela Day:
On Mandela Day (18 July), people around the world are encouraged to spend at least 67 minutes doing something positive for their communities in honour of the 67 years that the late South African president Nelson Mandela spent fighting for social justice and a free, democratic country.
Whether that be picking up litter at your local beach, helping an elderly neighbour with their groceries, or even just giving 67 extra kisses to your little person, I think we can all make a little effort to do something small to contribute to making the world a better place.
Special Mandela Day Sale:
For today only (18 July) we are selling our Organic Hemp & Silk Baby Carriers for 67% of the original price (that’s a saving of R396!) – use the coupon code ’67minutes’ on checkout and your discount will be applied. Stock is limited.
